WE ARE BLACKWATER
We are an adventure/dual sport touring company based in the small town of Alpena, West Virginia. This area is an adventure/dual sport riders dream! We are nestled in the mountains and surrounded with all sorts of scenery and outdoor adventures. We are close to Canaan Valley, Timberline, and Snowshoe ski resorts.
There are many neat places to explore such as Blackwater Falls, Douglas Falls, Blackwater Canyon, Dolly Sods, Sinks of Gandy, and even the highest point in West Virginia, Spruce Knob. All these locations are wrapped together with beautiful and exciting backcountry roads to explore on your motorcycle.

Christopher Burke
My name is Christopher Burke, and my father and I started this company together. We are backed by a great team of friends and family. We started riding motorcycles in 2016 and fell in love with the adventure! Since 2016, we have ridden all over the country and explored many places. To me, the best part of adventure riding is coming around a turn or to the top of a mountain pass and discovering something new and majestic. There is so much beauty and adventure to see in this world, and a motorcycle is the perfect tool to take you there!

CUSTOM TOURS ANYTIME
Looking for a custom experience? We are now offering packages that offer custom tracks for each day's adventure made specifically for the rider's interest and skill levels. Once riders start booking their adventure, I will schedule a google meet or phone call where we can discuss what type of riding you enjoy. We will talk mileage, scenery, difficulty and places of interest.
We have every type of riding here from paved twisty roads, gravel mountain passes, and we even have the gritty white knuckle mud flinging riding that always ends with a dropped bike and a great story! This area has an adventure for all types of bikes and skill levels! If you love to ride and explore, this is where you want to be!
We are partnering with the Alpine Lodge to create a new adventure opportunity for riders to explore West Virginia. We have another exciting feature for those of you that like to camp rather than stay in the lodge. We are also teaming up with Alpine Shores Campground!
There will be two full-hook up camp sites (water, sewer and electric) available on the far side of the pond. These sites are within walking distance from the Lodge.

All Tours Require 20% Deposit to Book

$350 per day plus tax.
Package two includes full hook up camp 50-amp service and accommodates up to a 36’ camper) breakfast, dinner, GPX tracks Check in will be from 9am to 6pm Check out will be 6pm on your last day Check in day will only include dinner. Must arrive by 6pm to receive dinner.

ANNUAL RALLIES
Every year in September we host the Blackwater Adventure Rally.
This is a 4-day event held at Camp Pioneer in Beverly, West Virginia.

This event is growing and getting better every year!
​
The rally includes on site camping, catered meals, 16 GPX tracks with over 2,000 miles of riding, adventure skill training, live music and much more! This rally is how we got our start in the touring business. We love the event and the people that attend. It brings us great joy to put on this event for the riders, and to share West Virginia with them.
New This Year
Chris Birch and Chris Whitehouse will be joining is at Blackwater Adventures this September to put on his Say No to Slow School September 7-8th and 10-11th. He will also be joining us for Blackwater Adventure Rally 2024! Check it out and get your tickets quickly! There are very limited spots available, this is the opportunity of a lifetime for adventure riders!

The Lodge
The Lodge was built in the early 1900’s by my great grandfather. It's a cozy place tucked in the mountains with a nice pond to walk around, beautiful scenery and incredible food! The best part of the Lodge is that it’s full of all different types of rustic antiques to check out while you visit! We are offering five rooms with double beds, one with a kitchen. The riders will stay in these rooms and also have a private large common room with a bar and music to hang out, relax and talk about the days adventure. John, the Chef and operator of the Lodge is going to be offering different types of meal plans throughout your adventure. He is an excellent chef, and you will not leave hungry or disappointed! He has brought the lodge up to date and back to life!
Alpine Shores Campground
Shaded under the pine trees, Alpine Shores Campground has 150 RV hook-up sites with power options available. Neighboring Shavers Fork of the Cheat, makes this campground ideal for trout fishermen. You will have access to some of the best fishing in West Virginia.

Bring the whole family for a getaway vacation and listen to the soothing sound of the river, the whispering wind though the pines, and the children laughing and playing on the playground equipment or shooting hoops at the basketball court.
